The Swan Hotel is one of the oldest original
buildings in the charming Devon village of Bampton. Built in the
14th century the original rear portion of the property was constructed
to house the stonemasons who built the adjacent church (St Michael
and all Angels).
The front portion was added soon afterwards and The Swan became
the church ale house. Many of the original features remain today
and the building retains its old charm.
Happily todays hotel guests will find the facilities much more modern
with comfortable rooms, a warm and friendly bar and a delightful
dining room. We offer a wide range of wines, beers, cider and spirits
and excellent home cooked meals...
